Fabric types break down into 3 major categories:
Sheer –
These fabrics allow you to retain your view while retaining the benefits of a shade system.
Translucent –
These fabrics let in moderate amounts of light and are the best of both worlds between sheer and black out fabrics by blocking out a tremendous amount and heat and glare without completely darkening room.
Blackout –
As the name clearly suggests, blackout fabrics block 100% of the incoming light. These fabrics are best for maximum privacy and heat reduction.
